UBIdanza runs workshops and classes for adults and children in its own studio, but also in public schools, theatres and univiersities. Our approach aims at stimulating a dialogue among different generations and research pathways. In this perspective, technique and improvisation are considered as the neutral tools to get in touch with one's own moves of necessity (“moti di necessità”), checking its communicative potentials.

A regular set of activities is carried on at the Studio d'Arti Sceniche, vico Tana 16, Genova.

Since 2005 Aline Nari has been running dance theatre labs for the students of G. Daneo Primary School in Genova. Thank to the close dialogue with teachers and students' parents, dance labs are both an opportunity of research for Ubidanza and also an occasion to contribute to the students general development (physical reliance, coordination, emotional expression, mathematical skills, etc.) through movement and dance.

UBIDANZA pathways

Besides twice-weekly classes and Moti di necessità workshops, UBIdanza started up a training programme in January 2008 for the students who follow more constantly and closely the activities of the dance company.

For this reason, that is to say to strengthen a programme of tutoring for the most determined students and for the members of the staff, UBIdanza began to organize workshops and in-depth studies with those Italian, foreign artists and researchers the company collaborates with.

Even if they're open to outside participants, these workshops are conceived for UBIDANZA PATHS: a group of people of different ages and education, who have a common desire to explore contemporary dance languages from a flexible point of view, open to different influences and contaminations.

UBIdanza Pathways is formed by: Castagnino Silvia, Chernetich Gaia, Di Marco Guendalina, Ferrari Claudia, Ferraro Paola, Fizzotti Carlo, Giardina Marina, Paradiso Cecilia, Poggi Fabio, Ranieri Giselda.

Studio di Arti Sceniche
Studio d'arti sceniche is a 400 m . wide space (two studios, dressing rooms, library, etc.) located in Genova city centre, close to Principe Station. Run by La pinguicola sulle Vigne (of which Aline Nari and Davide Frangioni are associated members), the Studio is not only the place where UBIdanza rehearse or give classes and workshop but a meeting point for people interested in contemporary dance, theatre and performative arts as an opportunity to contribute to human progress throughout exchanges of opinions, experiences, questions.
